University of Yamanashi Students Participated in “China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition”
Three students; Mr. Takuya Ogino and Mr. Kyosuke Nakagawa from the master program of Mechanical Engineering (supervised by Professor Eiji Terada and Assistant Professor Koji Makino) and Mr. Keigo Takahashi from Department of Mechatronics participated in “China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition” held in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China from Nov. 15th to 19th, 2016.
This competition has been held since 2014 and is sponsored by Chinese government for the purpose of supporting all the university students who are looking to start-up business.
In this time, more than 110,000 teams from 2,200 universities in China participated in the event and 9 teams from 6 countries (Israel, Korea, France, the Netherland, Japan and the U.S.A.) were invited.
Team University of Yamanashi who represented Japan exhibited their business plan “Botch Watch: a project of selling DIY wrist watch kit”.The plan won the first prize of “Trial Plan Course” in business plan competition 2017 sponsored by Yamanashi Industry Support Organization.
In addition to the exhibition, the students also attended meetings with other enterprising students from China and other countries, visited companies, and enjoyed cultural learning activities.
