Delegate from University of Ljubljana visited University of Yamanashi to observe robotic studies of Faculty of Engineering

? On July 9th,2018, a delegate from University of Ljubljana, led by Prof Marko Munih and former Ambassador to Japan from Slovenia visited University of Yamanashi.

? In September 2017 the Agreement of Academic Exchange between University of Ljubljana and University of Yamanashi was signed, and MOU for a Student Exchange Program was also concluded on June 20th,2018, when the President Shimada and the representatives visited the University of Ljubljana. As a part of the academic exchange between two universities, 18 graduate students major in robotics was included in the delegate and visited our Department of Mechatronics, Faculty of Engineering.

? As the delegate arrived, Prof Kumada, dean of Faculty of Engineering gave a warm greeting as the welcome ceremony held at the University Library. The delegate was then divided into 3 groups and received the introductions on walking-assist robot, carposina niponensis detection robot, noise-reduction manipulation robot and SCARA prototype, from Prof Terada and other faculty members and students from the department of mechatronics. The students from Ljubljana were eagerly asking many questions and interested in those robotic studies very much.

? During the evening, a welcome reception was held at university cafeteria with the attendance of President Shimada and Vice president Iwasaki, the students and the members of both universities enjoyed? sharing their research contents and their campus lives as well.
