Research Exchange Seminar with Research Group from Nankai university, China

　A group with ten master’s and doctoral students from College of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Prof. Zhang from College of Artificial Intelligence, Nankai University, China visited Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Yamanashi, from Dec. 8th (Sat.) to 10th (Mon.), 2018. It was held as part of the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (Sakura Science) which is supported by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). The principle investigator of this program in University of Yamanashi was Jiyi Li, an assistant professor in Faculty of Engineering.

　During the visiting, the students from Nankai University and University of Yamanashi made group discussion and held joint research seminar in extensive research fields including data mining, natural language processing, bioinformatics, computer vision and information retrieval. The discussion was very active and fruitful.
