A Courtesy Visit of Delegation from Pau City , France

　A delegate from Pau city, France including Deputy Mayor Marc Cabane, Mr. Claude Bottero, Ms. Gérard Hanquiez, and Mr. Dominique Hanquiez paid a courtesy call on President Shinji Shimada on Thursday April 4th, 2019.

　The delegate was invited by Kofu City to the cerebration of the 500th anniversary of the establishment of Kofu City, as a part of the exchange program based on sister-city relationship between Pau city and Kofu city.

　President Shimada, Professor Muramatsu (Executive Delector for Education and International Exchange), Professor Kazama (Vice-president), Professor Mao (Director of Center for International Educationa and Exchange) and Professor Okuda (Director of the Institute of Enolory and Vitculture) met the delegate at President’s office and discussed about the further exchanges and research collaborations between University of Yamanashi and University of Pau. Guided by President Shimada, the delegate also visited Satoshi Omura Museumand all members were impressed by the magnificent achievement of Dr. Omura as well as the history of the University.

　Further active exchanges based on the agreement between two universities are expected in the future.
