Mr. Jun Igarashi received “ISOM’22 Best Poster Award”

　Mr. Jun Igarashi received ISOM Best Poster Award at the International Symposium on Imaging, Sensing, and Optical Memory 2022 (ISOM’22) held at Sapporo Conventional Center from July 31 to August 3, 2022.? He is a second-year graduate school student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Course, and his supervisor is associate professor Satoshi Honma.?
　ISOM is an international conference on the fields of image analysis, sensing, and optical memory, and the award is given to speakers who have made excellent poster presentations. This year, three international conferences, CLEO-PR2022/ISOM’22/ODF’22, were held simultaneously, and more than 700 researchers from Japan and abroad participated.

Award title:
Synthesis of angular multiplexed SQAM signals and signal detection by self-interference for holographic memory

research content:

  1. A method of adding a phase key to multiple spatial orthogonal code signal, synthesizing them into one page of optical data, and recording this in holographic memory.
  2. A method in which interference fringes are formed on the camera by extracting and reproducing two specific signals during readout, and the complex amplitude signal is detected by analyzing this fringe.

　We proposed the above two methods and evaluated their reproduction accuracy.

　Atsushi Igarashi, who received the award, said, “I am very honored to receive the Best Poster Award.
